The World is more globalized than ever before. Trade is global, information is global and increasingly jobs are global. Our children will be competing on a global stage with students from around the World who speak English as well as they do and in an environment where jobs for life is a thing of the past.
Developing a global perspective, while not part of a traditional School education, is increasingly vital to thriving in this 21st century environment. To be successful, it’s vital to see and understand how the World works and how we are all interconnected through trade, media, the internet, travel and politics. TECx wants to broaden students’ sense of normal, their ideas of how to interact with others and to allow them to see how people, companies and cultures operate in different regions of the world… all of these experiences are hugely beneficial to thriving and being employable in the 21st Century.
